Reverie exists because people love stories. Everything created here is transformative fan fiction, and we take the rights of creators and rights holders seriously. This page explains our approach and how to reach us if you have a concern.

Reveries are transformative fan works

A reverie is an original, AI-written reimagining inspired by an existing work, a new story with new prose, new scenes, and a new premise. Reveries are not copies of the source and do not reproduce its text. They are created and shared non-commercially, for entertainment, in the long tradition of fan fiction.

All rights belong to their owners

The franchises, characters, worlds, titles, and trademarks that reveries draw on are the property of their respective rights holders. Reverie is independent and is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by any author, studio, publisher, or rights holder. Referring to a work does not imply any partnership or approval.

What we don't do

We don't reproduce copyrighted books, scripts, or substantial verbatim passages; we don't generate reveries to sell as official products; and we don't allow content that impersonates a rights holder or passes a reverie off as an official release.

Respecting rights holders

If you are a rights holder (or an authorized agent) and you'd prefer that your work not be reimagined on Reverie, or you believe specific content infringes your rights, contact us and we'll review it promptly and in good faith. We honor reasonable requests, including opting a property out of generation.

Takedown requests

To report content you believe infringes your copyright, send us a notice that includes: a description of the work and the specific reverie or URL at issue; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law; a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on their behalf; and your signature (physical or electronic). We will remove or disable access to content that is the subject of a valid notice.

Counter-notice & repeat infringers

If your content is removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice. We may, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly post infringing content.

Your responsibility

When you create on Reverie, don't submit prompts or publish content that infringes anyone's rights, and don't try to extract or reproduce copyrighted source material. You're responsible for what you create and share.

Reverie's own content

The Reverie name, logo, site design, and original illustrations are ours. The reveries you create from your own premises are yours to read, share, and download under these terms.
