When Lockdown's ship breaks atmosphere with Optimus Prime still chained inside, Earth is left to inherit a war without its leader, and a mechanic's daughter must decide what hope means when the sky goes silent.
Optimus is free, but the empire he returned to runs on a copy of his own soul. To end the war he must face the thing wearing his memory.
